Delete from inside the app
- Open Spendly and tap the settings icon at the top right of the home screen.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm. To check it is you, you may be asked to verify your phone number again with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS.
Deletion is immediate. You are signed out and returned to the sign-in screen.
Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email SUPPORT_EMAIL_TBD with the phone number you signed in with and ask for account deletion. We may ask you to confirm the request before deleting. We process these requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your phone number and Firebase user ID held in Firebase Authentication.
What is not affected
- Financial data parsed from SMS is stored only on your phone and is never uploaded, so there is nothing of it on our side to delete. Remove it from the phone with Clear all stored data in Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
- Anonymous crash reports and usage statistics are not tied to your account and cannot be traced back to you. They expire automatically under Firebase's retention limits.
